US experience shows methane emissions fall as production rises

One of the constant claims levelled at the unconventional gas industry is that methane emissions cancel out any environmental benefits that may accrue from using natural gas as a fuel source.

It comes as no surprise that this is yet another claim that has no basis in fact.
